Exploratory Artistry
Born and raised in Santa Fe NM,
Sonny Craig Gurule grew up in an environment that cultivated creativity.
Influenced by his fathers acclaimed woodcarving and a family of painters, sculptors and musicians.
Sonnys unique upbringing and education of art is not the ordinary.
At an early age Sonny continued becoming a product of a creative environment, working for a prominent gallery where he was able to be influenced and mentored by current Masters of the American West and Impressionist painters,
Sonny moved to Los Angeles where he worked extensively with art supplies and manufacturers, exploring and understanding materials and mediums in order to expand his knowledge and understanding of his instrument and how he creates.
Currently Sonny Craig Gurule resides in Laguna Beach where he showcases his art at Studio/Gallery333
